What Is Biblical Redemption?
What does it mean to be redeemed by Jesus Christ? Biblical redemption means paying a ransom to free someone from captivity. Scripture teaches that we were enslaved to sin, but Jesus Christ paid the ransom through His blood. Through Him, we have forgiveness, freedom, and a new relationship with God.
Redemption is not something we earn. It is God's gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ.
